Course Description:
An advocate's ethical foundation is based upon life experience and the standards set for by their agency or organization. This foundation is the basis for our work as advocates to improve the rights and services for victims of crime. Participants will be exposed to the different ethical dilemmas that advocates face in victim services and will be able to glean information that will assist them in developing their ethical standards. In addition, vicarious trauma or lack of self care can lead to impairment or unethical behavior. This course will discuss strategies to maintain professional standards as well as remain mindful of stress management.


**8-Hour Course** All hours for this course may be used towards FCPTI Victim Services Practitioner Renewal Requirements.
