This course will enhance the advocate’s understanding of the criminal justice system as it relates to serving survivors of intimate partner violence, such as domestic violence and sexual assault. The course will offer information on terminology, protocols and procedures from the moment law enforcement is contacted until the resolution of the criminal case. Advocates will also discuss the differences and similarities between their programs and how knowledge, communication, and partnerships benefit both the survivor and the prosecution.
**8-Hour Course**. All hours for this course may be used towards FCPTI Victim Services Practitioner Renewal Requirements
