An advocate's ethical foundation is based upon life experience and the standards set forth by their agency or organization. This foundation is the basis for our work as advocates to improve the rights and services for victims of crime. To be effective, an advocate must adopt and model a strong set of ethical standards. Participants will be exposed to the different ethical dilemmas that advocates face in victim services and will be able to glean information that will assist them in developing their ethical standards.
