This three-day (24hour) course is designed as an update course to the Victim Services Practitioner Designation. This course will include segments on the legal rights of crime victims, information on responding to incidents of mass violence and terrorism, ethical considerations and self-care strategies to avoid impairment, and information on creating collaborative relationships with the media to best serve survivors. Each day will include discussion on the consequences of criminal victimization(s), including the legal, financial, emotional, and psychological impacts. Attendance for all three days is required.
