Basic Crime Prevention provides students with practical information on how to develop, implement and maintain a crime prevention program. This course is designed for crime prevention officers, community oriented policing officers and security professionals. During the five-day (40-hour) course, participants receive instruction and information on the history of crime prevention, liability in crime prevention, homeland security programs, public speaking, media relations, crimes against the elderly, sexual assault programs, youth crime prevention, telemarketing fraud and scams, grant writing and marketing programs.
ATTENTION -- PLEASE NOTE THESE REQUIREMENTS:
The Attorney General's Office is pleased to be invited this year to work with FCPA in offering Basic Crime Prevention Training. This class will be held concurrently with the conference. This means officers in the Basic Crime Prevention Training Class will not be able to attend regular conference sessions during the day. HOWEVER, FCPA has invited the attendees to participate in all of the after hour functions without paying the conference registration fee. (*Excluded is the Awards Banquet. Tickets can be purchased for $35.00, per person)
Participants attending the Basic Crime Prevention Training must register and pay the $399.00 registration fee to FCPTI. Participants will NOT pay a FCPA Conference registration fee. For lodging, please contact the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort, 1850 Hotel Plaza Boulevard, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830. For reservations call 1-407-828-4444. The room rate is $115.00 a night, please ask for the FCPA room rate. The cut off date for hotel reservations is October 8, 2014.
