A major portion of an SRO’s time deals with social media issues such as: stolen or missing cell phones, laptops, tablets, gaming devices, cyber-bullying, stalking, solicitation, and more. This class will teach SROs the proper techniques in responding to these reports and investigation techniques. There will be a legal update as it pertains to technology with legal ramifications and case examples.
Bring your laptops! This interactive course will show current trends in technology and an overview of gaming systems. Participants will have the opportunity to create a page on a social media site such as Facebook, with recommendations on how to search these sites. Participants will receive a list of free websites for SROs to use for presentations and recommended parental sites.
