Course Description:
Understanding trauma is a critical component in effective service delivery. This course will offer an in depth look at the physical and mental responses to trauma and loss as well as the resilience factors in the aftermath. Attendees will be made of aware of long term stress reactions, triggers, and secondary victimization issues. In addition, the course will discuss vicarious trauma and strategies to effectively serve victims.
