Course Description:
This annual course provides information on identifying and implementing legal protections for crime victims, how advocates can utilize legal resources to protect and compensate crime victims, and the critical role of victim advocates and social service providers during the criminal justice process. The presentation will focus on Florida Laws and Court decisions that serve as the foundation for the rights of crime victims. Recent updates and changes to established crime victim protections will be emphasized. Attendees will be provided a complete set of the relevant laws and court decisions
