Course Description:
This annual interactive course is for both the novice and experienced advocate; and will cover any benefit cap changes. It will improve the advocate's ability to assist victims with compensation claims through quality submission of forms. Topics include: a better understanding of the eligibility criteria, specific types of compensable crimes, formulas and calculations of benefits, benefit caps, statutory guidelines, and claims processing procedures. In addition, discussion will include property loss, domestic violence relocation assistance, and sexual battery forensic examination payments.
