Course Description:
This course is designed to give advocates the tools to recognize unique issues and challenges of the LGBT community, such as, stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination. Advocates will learn about victimization types such as sexual assault, domestic violence and hate crimes. The course will also explore reporting challenges and the basics of homophobia and heterosexism.
