The Florida Crime Prevention Training Institute (FCPTI) is pleased to offer a new one-day course to further enhance the practitioner’s knowledge of lighting for municipalities, parks and parking lots. Taught by a professional in the lighting industry, this class is designed to provide the participant with a fundamental understanding of outdoor street and area lighting, equipment, and lighting concerns. It will review essential concepts, including: components of a lighting system; luminaires, HID and LED light sources; poles; arms and foundations; exterior lighting terminology and applications; elementary outdoor lighting design; light trespass and glare; and troubleshooting.
