Course Description:
This course will enhance the advocate’s understanding of the criminal justice system, its terminology, protocols and procedures from the moment of a sexual battery through the resolution of the criminal case and help advocates prepare victims for the experience of participating in a criminal prosecution. Advocates will also discuss the differences and similarities between their programs and how providing effective services and support to the victim and their family benefits both the victim and the prosecution
