This course will be held at the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, 615 Third Avenue, South, Naples, Florida 34102.
Course Description:
Childhood trauma can have a severe and long-lasting effect. This course will explore how traumatic events, such as abuse and neglect, have a lifelong impact on a child’s development. Advocates will learn how these experiences can influence a child’s future reactions and behaviors; and when not resolved, carry over into adulthood and set the stage for further traumas.
