“Basic Leadership” is a three-day seminar focusing on the basics of leadership. Unlike most leadership classes, this course focuses on specific components that allow the individual to become a leader. Not all personnel desire to be promoted, but all have a chance for ‘leadership’ during their work day, whether it is providing direction for junior employees, organizing a work detail or giving advice to citizens. Customer service is a priority and it is how we are measured. To that end, the enhancement of leadership skills is of paramount importance to achieve this goal. Everyone is a leader!
This basic course can also be utilized by upper management as well – a refresher of desired skills is always beneficial. The “Basic Leadership” course enhances that skill set and illustrates how the principles can be applied. Designed into the training are several ‘break-out’ sessions for a hands-on approach. This allows attendees the opportunity to witness firsthand the results of the instruction and provides a self-analysis of their skills.
This three-day course is intense. The attendee will leave with a work book and concepts he/she can put into immediate action. Leadership is a behavior that can be learned, enhanced, and shared!
