This course will be held at the Florida Public Safety Institute, Conference Center, 75 College Drive, Havana, Florida 32333.
Course Description:
This annual course provides information on identifying and implementing legal protections for crime victims, how advocates can utilize legal resources to protect and compensate crime victims, and the critical role of victim advocates and social service providers during the criminal justice process. The presentation will focus on current national and 2011 Florida specific legislative initiatives affecting the rights of victims of crime.
