This course will be held at the Ocala Police Department, 402 S Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34471, and lodging will be at the Equus Inn, 3434 SW College Rd, Ocala, FL 34474. Course Description:
This three-day course (24 hours) is designed as an update for those who completed the 40-hour Victim Services Practitioner Designation course. The Update course provides information on building collaboration and improving advocacy, supporting neurodivergent victims of crime, advocating in the tech world, the victim compensation program, and advocacy after the conviction.
*Students must attend all three days to receive a certificate of completion. Course attendance fulfills the Victim Services Practitioner Designation renewal requirements* **Course topics are subject to change.
