This three-day course (24 hours) is designed as an update for those who completed the Victim Services Practitioner Designation course. The Update course provides new information on the legal rights of crime victims, such as Marsy’s Law, and discusses the concept of restorative justice. It also offers skill development in the areas of cultural competency, the provision of services across generations, and death notifications in the age of social media and technology. Attendance is required for all three days to receive a certificate of completion.
